Abstract
⺠Different solution strategies to deductive problems can be identified behaviorally. ⺠People search for valid solutions, focus on problem form, or follow nonlogical biases. ⺠Activation in BA47 and BA19 predicts whether logically valid solutions are produced. ⺠Activation of BA44/45 and BA6/8 predicts sensitivity to logical structure of problems. ⺠Brain areas within the reasoning network have differential functional roles.
