Abstract
⺠Event related potentials (ERPs) are important in clinical and basic neuroscience. ⺠The generating mechanisms of ERPs are not clearly identifiable to date. ⺠Our method quantifies additive evoked response contributions (AECs) to the ERP. ⺠It separates AECs from phase-reset and induced contributions. ⺠We show the coexistence of AECs and at least one other mechanism in man and macaque.
