Deconvolving BOLD activation in event-related designs for multivoxel pattern classification analyses

► In this study we look at trial classification for fast event-related fMRI designs. ► We examine 8 strategies for obtaining trial-specific activation estimates. ► We compare approaches in simulated and real data analyses. ► The newly presented approach produces unbiased, low variance activation estimates. ► The new approach produces estimates that result in higher classification accuracy.
