Abstract
⺠Dynamics and excitability are explored in a spatially extended neural mass model. ⺠We investigate the transmission of epileptic spiking at the neural mass level. ⺠Stimulation can cause the propagation of trivial and complex waveforms. ⺠Long self-terminating transients are observed in response to stimulus. ⺠This provides a hypothesis for abnormal stimulus responses in epilepsy.
