Abstract
⺠COMT Val158/108Met genotype is not associated with the P50 gating component. ⺠High prefrontal efficiency is suggested by the COMT Met/Met genotype. ⺠The prefrontal contribution to N100 gating is more pronounced than in the P50 component. ⺠Healthy homozygous Met carriers have poorer N100 gating compared to healthy Val carriers. ⺠High prefrontal processing capacity allows a pronounced afferent input from the auditory cortex. ⺠High prefrontal processing capacity is associated to poor N100 sensory gating
