Abstract
► High b-value DW-fMRI performed on a rat forepaw electrostimulation model at 7 T. ► No strong dependence of the fMRI signal change on b-value for TEs from 30 to 90 ms. ► Apparent transverse relaxation rate showed no clear dependence on b-value. ► No evidence for multicompartmental behaviour. ► Minor DW-fMRI signal changes may be explained by the influence of gradient coupling.
