Abstract
âºPreterm birth is associated with reduced corpus callosum (CC) size. ⺠Study sample comprised very preterm born adults (n=33) and healthy controls (n=29). ⺠The effect of COMT Val158Met polymorphism on CC morphometry was studied. ⺠First study to show association between COMT gene and CC size in such a sample. ⺠COMT gene may be a vulnerability factor for CC development after preterm birth.
