Abstract
⺠The Finite Element Method and a high-resolution head mesh was used to calculate the electric field induced by TMS. ⺠The gyrification had marked effects on the field distribution. ⺠The field in GM was strongly increased when the currents were perpendicular to the local gyrus orientation. ⺠This effect was mainly restricted to the gyral crowns and lips.
