Abstract
⺠A new method to utilize spatial information to constrain the reconstruction of ODFs from raw diffusion MRI data. ⺠Improves angular resolution and noise tolerance. ⺠Spatial constraints in terms of a prior distributions, incorporated in a Bayesian formulation. ⺠A Novel iterative algorithm based on LSQR. ⺠Results indicate significant gains in angular resolution, crossing fibers and reconstruction SNR. ⺠Possible impact: improved evaluation of white matter microstructural integrity in regions of crossing fibers and higher spatial/angular resolution.
