Abstract
⺠Feedback connections from a higher motion processing area influence the integration of subthreshold pattern motion cues in early visual areas. ⺠Motion is processed within a feedback loop. ⺠Feedback flexibly tunes the gain for global motion activity in V1 as a top-down instruction when appropriate.
