Abstract
⺠Reading comprehension strategies improve learning from expository text. ⺠Neural correlates of three reading strategies were examined. ⺠Cognitive control network more active for more effective reading strategies. ⺠In addition, discourse comprehension area active for most effective reading strategy. ⺠Anterior prefrontal cortex more active when text material was learned.
