Abstract
⺠This work investigates the brains electrophysiological response to hypercapnia. ⺠Hypercapnia causes widespread desynchronisation in alpha, beta and gamma bands. ⺠The spatial pattern of desynchronisation changes with frequency band. ⺠Absolute functional change in visual/motor systems also altered by hypercapnia. ⺠Effect in agreement with animal and EEG literature.
