Abstract
► This work investigates the brains electrophysiological response to hypercapnia. ► Hypercapnia causes widespread desynchronisation in alpha, beta and gamma bands. ► The spatial pattern of desynchronisation changes with frequency band. ► Absolute functional change in visual/motor systems also altered by hypercapnia. ► Effect in agreement with animal and EEG literature.
