Abstract
âºThe medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) is activated mainly when cognitive reasoning tasks include content about agency and mind of self or other people. âºThe mPFC is activated less when no or little such mentalizing content is contained in cognitive reasoning tasks. âºSocial and cognitive reasoning are subserved by different brain areas: the medial and lateral PFC respectively.
