Abstract
âºThe fMRI correlates of prosocial sentiments (e.g., guilt, pity and embarrassment) have been previously explored. âºProsocial sentiments are crucial for adaptive social behaviors and for emotional empathy. âºFronto-temporal dementia patients show severely impaired social behaviors and reduced empathy. âºProsocial feeling impairments were selectively associated frontopolar cortex and septal hypometabolism. âºAnger/disgust was associated with dorsolateral prefrontal and amygdala hypometabolism.
