Abstract
âºThe amygdala was more active for facial than for bodily expressions. âºBody stimuli triggered higher activation in the cuneus, fusiform gyrus, extrastriate body area, temporoparietal junction, superior parietal lobule, primary somatosensory cortex, and thalamus. Emotion specific effects were found for TPJ and FG for bodies and faces alike. âºEBA and STS were more activated by threatening bodies.
