Abstract
âºThe ability to recognize tools from unusual viewpoints improves between age 6 and 10. âºThis correlates with object sensitivity in the inferotemporal & intraparietal cortex. âºThe dorsal and ventral cortical category preference for tools is adult-like by age 6. âºAn animal preference detected in the adult LOC & FFG was not present in children.
