Abstract
► During the Stroop test functional connectivity abnormalities in fronto-insular and front-cingulate coupling were associated with predisposition to BD. ► Reduced fronto-basal ganglia coupling was associated with disease expression. ► Increased connectivity within prefrontal regions was linked to resilience.
