Abstract
⺠Mentalising brain regions are not typically recruited during perspective taking tasks. ⺠In this fMRI study, perspective taking was introduced in a communicative context. ⺠Participants needed to consider another person's perspective to respond appropriately. ⺠This led to recruitment of mentalising regions including superior dorsal MPFC.
