Abstract
► The neural correlates of the two key components of inductive reasoning were explored. ► Left parietal area and DLPFC were commonly recruited in the two components. ► The fronto-parietal network was more specific to identification. ► The striatal-thalamic network was more specific to extrapolation. ► This will be helpful to understand the neural mechanism of human inductive reasoning.
