Abstract
► People performed working memory tasks where they monitored facial emotion or identity. ► Dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) activity increased during both tasks. ► DLPFC correlated with activity in amygdala (emotion task) and fusiform (identity task). ► Between subjects, neural activity correlated with performance on the respective tasks.
