Abstract
⺠The orbitofrontal and ventromedial prefrontal cortex signal shock omission in fear conditioning. ⺠Different temporal difference models reveal similar statistical maps of activation. ⺠The stimulus-offset skin conductance response may be a sensitive measure of fear conditioning. ⺠The neural circuitry of fear extinction is involved in prediction error signaling during conditioning.
