Abstract
► Whole genome sequencing (WGS) screening will become widely accessible to the public. ► Perceived benefits, costs and self-efficacy predict WGS screening intention. ► Not disclosing screening limitations may bias beliefs about benefits and efficacy. ► Uncertainty avoidance may increase intention to undergo WGS screening. ► Protection Motivation Theory is an appropriate psychosocial model for this setting.
