Abstract
⺠Whole genome sequencing (WGS) screening will become widely accessible to the public. ⺠Perceived benefits, costs and self-efficacy predict WGS screening intention. ⺠Not disclosing screening limitations may bias beliefs about benefits and efficacy. ⺠Uncertainty avoidance may increase intention to undergo WGS screening. ⺠Protection Motivation Theory is an appropriate psychosocial model for this setting.
