Abstract
Rhinovirus infection enhances detection of specific bacterial pathogens in children with and without asthma. Furthermore, these findings suggest that M catarrhalis and SÂ pneumoniae contribute to the severity of respiratory tract illnesses, including asthma exacerbations.
