Abstract
⺠Asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR) is a liver-specific autoantigen. ⺠A reliable test for anti-ASGPR antibodies has not been developed. ⺠Recent ELISA may allow efficient anti-ASGPR antibody testing. ⺠Anti-ASGPR antibodies are most prevalent in autoimmune hepatitis. ⺠ASGPR autoantibodies identify AIH patients with active disease.
