Abstract
⺠There is an urgent need for alternatives to anti-TNF drugs in Crohn's disease (CD). ⺠IVIG has been used in CD for years, although few data, and no RCTS, are published. ⺠A literature review shows that IVIG can induce rapid improvement in CD within days. ⺠Longer-term data show that maintenance of remission over the medium term is possible. ⺠Verification is needed from large RCTs to show the safety and efficacy of IVIG in CD.
