Abstract
⺠Regulatory T (Treg) cells are particularly abundant in the colonic mucosa. ⺠The components of the gut commensal microbiota, particularly clostridia, affect the development and function Treg cells. ⺠Clostridia are likely to provide antigens and a unique environment for the development of Treg cells.
