Abstract
⺠A highly efficacious vaccine for malaria does not exist. ⺠Vaccine development to malaria pre-erythrocytic stages currently shows the most promise. ⺠Plasmodium vivax is lethal and poorly researched. ⺠Viral vectored platforms of vaccine delivery are showing potential. ⺠Transmission blocking vaccines require further research and testing.
