Abstract
► Immune suppressive leukocytes are prominent in pancreatic cancer. ► T cell infiltration is rare throughout disease progression. ► Pancreatic tumors may therefore remain intrinsically sensitive to T cell killing. ► Blockade of tumor GM-CSF blocks myeloid inflammation and mediates T cell immunity. ► Combination immunotherapies in pancreatic cancer are warranted.
