Cell permeable NFAT inhibitory peptide Sim-2-VIVIT inhibits T-cell activation and alleviates allergic airway inflammation and hyper-responsiveness

► A novel cell permeable peptide, Sim-2-CPP, was identified. ► Intracellular delivery of NFAT inhibitory peptide, Sim-2-VIVIT, inhibited T cell activation via selective inhibition of NFAT activity. ► Intra-nasal administration of Sim-2-VIVIT peptide significantly prevented allergic airway inflammation and hyper-responsiveness.
