Abstract
⺠Gender-based transcriptomics uncovers distinct changes in gene expression in women and men with MS. ⺠MS is associated with alterations in the quantity and in the quality of the human sex-specific genes. ⺠Female and male MS gene profiles share biological processes and interactomes. ⺠Female and male MS gene profiles are under the control of the transcription factor SP1. ⺠Blockade of SP1 dependent gene transcription ameliorates EAE.
