Abstract
⺠Pregnancy in women with autoimmune hepatitis is associated with a flare in disease activity in 33%. ⺠Disease flares are associated with poor disease control prior to pregnancy and absence of therapy. ⺠A disease flare was associated with hepatic decompensation and neonatal admission to special care. ⺠20% of neonates were premature and 11% required admission to a special care baby unit. ⺠Continuing immunosupression throughout pregnancy appears safe.
