Abstract
- The emergence of G12 strain of HRV in the Andaman Islands.
- The surveillance showed the prevalence of 33% paediatric diarrhoea patients is attributable to HRVA in these islands.
- Over the reporting periods, the prevalence of rotavirus infection increased from 2012-2013 (17.9%) to 2013-2014 (38.5%).
- In addition, G1 strain predominance has increased from 25.5% to 92.7% within two years of time.
