Abstract
â¢Hepatitis E virus could be transmitted through hematopoietic stem cell products.â¢We report the first study about HEV prevalence among hematopoietic stem cell donors.â¢The rate of HEV seroprevalence in donors was 9% (13% in adult donors).â¢HEV seroprevalence increased to 18% in donors originating from South France.â¢Anti-HEV IgM and HEV RNA were not detected in any donor.
