Abstract
- Constraint-based metabolic models of Mycobacterium tuberculosis have been tested for their performance with 13C metabolic flux data for the first time.
- Our new model, sMtb, is introduced that greatly outperforms previously published models in terms of gene essentiality, metabolic state predictions and drug-phenotype predictions.
- sMtb allows automated reasoning and enables better quantitative predictions for drug target discovery.
