Abstract
The dominance of Warileya rotundipennis within the households during the wet season (May) and dry season (August); anthropophilic behavior and natural infection with the same subgenus parasite Leishmania (Viannia) obtained from a patient in the community, suggest the involvement of Warileya rotundipennis in domestic transmission of cutaneous leishmaniasis in “La Cabaña”.
