Abstract
DENV infected monocytes produce cytokines and chemokines. They are associated with monocytosis, thrombocytopenia, hemoconcentration, hypoalbuminemia, transaminase elevation that may lead to plasma leakage (effusions) and liver damage (hepatomegaly).
