Abstract
- The prevalence of malaria-HIV coinfection was investigated in Thai-Myanmar border.
- The effect of HIV coinfection on malaria disease severity was also examined.
- The average prevalence rate of malaria and HIV coinfected cases was 1.85%.
- Admission parasite density was higher in the HIV coinfected cases (2008-2010).
- Proportion of patients with anemia was higher in the coinfected cases (2005-2007).
