- The difference in susceptibility to malaria between sympatric ethnic groups is well established.
- The Fulani are more protected to clinical malaria than their sympatric ethnic groups (Dogon and Mossi).
- The mechanisms of protection in the Fulani need to be thoroughly investigated.
