Abstract
- Polymorphism in DBP is a challenge for development of broadly effective vaccine against P. vivax.
- IgG responses to conserved sites of all forms were evaluated using immunedepletion ELISA.
- Considerable IgG was detected to all five examined variants of PvDBP-II.
- The majority of the individuals have cross-reactive antibodies.
- This could overcome the PvDBP-II variation in PvDBP-II-based vaccine development.
