- Mitochondrial lineage distributions depend more on dispersal than climate variation.
- Regional cytochrome b lineages were not associated with distinct environments.
- Our species distribution model (SDM) would be improved by stratified sampling.
- A better predictive SDM is required for area wide integrated pest management.
