Abstract
⺠The mtDNAs of Taenia taeniaeformis isolates from Germany and China have a 11.8% nt difference. ⺠Phylogenetic analyses of partial mt fragments confirm the existence of cryptic species. ⺠Full mtDNAs provide a resource for the optimal design of mt markers.
