Abstract
⺠We conducted the first phlebotomine survey in Torres Novas municipality, Portugal. ⺠275 biotopes sampled, in 91 localities covering all 17 parishes with CDC traps. ⺠1262 sand flies of 4 species captured, subgenus Larroussius accounted for 81.85%. ⺠Leishmania infantum DNA was detected in a gravid P. ariasi female. ⺠Transmission risk factors were identified by logistic regression.
