Abstract
⺠Diurnal resting of adult Cx. pipiens in vegetation near breeding sites was investigated. ⺠Mosquitoes were clearly clustering in dense vegetation close to the water. ⺠After spraying toxic sugar bait 1 m from the water the population collapsed.
