Abstract
⺠Salivary proteome of Phlebotomus perniciosus was analyzed. ⺠Sand flies of distinct geographical origins in Spain share salivary protein profile. ⺠Sand fly salivary proteomic maps were established by 2DE for the first time. ⺠Hyperimmune sera were obtained from animals immunized by the bites of sand flies. ⺠Mice and hamsters sera used in 2DE-WB revealed different immunogenic proteins.
