Abstract
⺠Cambodian farmers rank foot-and-mouth disease second in terms of frequency and losses. ⺠As the disease mortality is low, livestock owners see no benefit in reporting it. ⺠The 2009 village incidence in Svay Rieng province was estimated at 44% by the serological approach. ⺠Participatory epidemiology seems useful to value disease impacts at household level in the Cambodian setting. ⺠The Se, Sp of participatory epidemiology were estimated at 87% and 30%, respectively.
