Abstract
⺠We detected Chikungunya virus in collected mosquitoes for the first time in Yemen. ⺠Aedes aegypti was abundant in the inspected areas in Al Hodayda Governorate. ⺠Container index and larval population density were high in CHIKV positive areas. ⺠Positive females were collected from Al Khokha-Eritrean refugee camp. ⺠Uncovered water containers inside human residence allow vector to spread disease.
