Abstract
⺠We sampled 341 palm trees in 42 localities in the Brazilian savanna (Cerrado). ⺠R. neglectus, P. tertius, T. sordida, and M. borbai were collected. ⺠R. neglectus specimens were infected with Trypanosoma rangeli or T. cruzi (Tc Id). ⺠M. flexuosa is a suitable breeding ecotope for triatomines throughout the Cerrado. ⺠R. neglectus plays a role in maintaining enzootic trypanosomes in Brazil.
