Abstract
► We sampled 341 palm trees in 42 localities in the Brazilian savanna (Cerrado). ► R. neglectus, P. tertius, T. sordida, and M. borbai were collected. ► R. neglectus specimens were infected with Trypanosoma rangeli or T. cruzi (Tc Id). ► M. flexuosa is a suitable breeding ecotope for triatomines throughout the Cerrado. ► R. neglectus plays a role in maintaining enzootic trypanosomes in Brazil.
