Abstract
⺠G1 genotype PCR revealed G1genotype in one (3.2%) out of 31 human isolates. ⺠G6 genotype PCR revealed G6 genotype in 30 (96.8%) out of 31 human isolates. ⺠G6 genotype PCR revealed G6 genotype in all (100%) the animal isolates. ⺠DNA sequencing for mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene identified the G6 genotype (GenBank ID: GQ476732-GQ476735). ⺠Both G1 and G6 strains are found in Egypt with the alternation of predominance between both of them.
