Abstract
⺠Bacterial microflora of the midgut of Anopheles stephensi at both larvae and adult stages were investigated. ⺠More than 60 isolates/species were identified. ⺠The bacteria property was tested against the known criteria for nomination of appropriate candidate for paratransgenesis. ⺠Trans-stadial transmission and cell free medium cultivability of Pseudomonas make them proper candidates for paratransgenesis.
