Abstract
⺠Uganda and Tanzania has since 2001 stopped using chloroquine against malaria. ⺠Mutations in resistance genes pfcrt and pfmdr1 was more common in Uganda. ⺠This could indicate differences in actual drug use following drug policy changes.
